I am a professional jazz piano player specializing in duo ensembles, pairing with violin, guitar, bass, and cello for more than 30 years. My performance mission is to use jazz standards from the Great American Songbook to provide elegant and engaging music which listeners can enjoy without having to raise their voices if they wish to converse.

Additionally, I have been composer, arranger, and conductor for the Pandemonia Orchestra, a 35-piece group in the vein of “society orchestras” of the 1930s and 40s. I have produced a commercial album, “Foolin’“, with the Orchestra. Samples of this will be available soon on this site. I received a B.A. degree in music from Whittier College in California, where I played classical guitar under Vincenzo Macaluso and piano under Robert Macsparran. I studied music with Dick Grove, Spud Murphy, and Charlie Shoemake, and conducting with Jack Fierman and Shardad Rohani.
